Adorable Blog Award :)

I was given the "Adorable Blog Award" by one of my friends from college, whose blog is here. I had never really won anything (until of course I won Laura's contest...but that was different), so this is kind of exciting for me.

10 things about me:

1. My favorite animal is the otter.
2. I love pretty much any kind of music, except for rap and most hip-hop.
3. I am currently a graduate student at Fordham University in NYC studying to get my Master's in Social Work.
4. I currently work at the JCC in Manhattan in their after school program (but only for the next two weeks. After that I will be working in the summer camp, and I'm soooo excited!!!).
5. If you couldn't tell by now, I LOVE kids. <3 :D
6. My favorite TV show is Glee. I am OBSESSED with it. :D
7. I love old TV shows like Bewitched and I Dream of Jeannie.
8. My favorite band of all time is The Beatles.
9. I have collected Beanie Babies since elementary or middle school, and still do.
10. My favorite authors include Gregory Maguire, Barbara Delinsky, and Nicholas Sparks.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. It has been raining here for the past couple days, and it's supposed to rain for like the next 10 days. YUCK. Apparently sunday is supposed to be nice (and it looks nice out right now), but who knows. I hate the rain. I'm excited though 'cause one of my friends from college is coming to visit me today and stay until saturday. We're planning on going to see How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying on Broadway and going to the Harry Potter Exhibit at the Discovery Times Square Exhibition Center. I'll write again soon about that, and my trip to see Memphis with Gene (who I actually don't think I've mentioned anything about on here yet...so there might be several posts coming soon).

Me FTW and Shout-outs :P

So, my friend Laura had a contest on her blog and I won!!! I've never really won anything in my life, so this was kind of special. Check out the entries entitled "And the winner is......." and "The Error part of Trial and Error". If you look at the comments to "The Error part of Trial and Error" you will see what the cartoon is referencing.

In other news, I will try and post again soon. I know I said I was going to post about Florida and my mom's cousin's son's bar-mitzvah at some point in the near future, but nothing interesting really happened there (at least nothing that I feel like sharing with the entirety of Blog World).
